Just as melanocytes are present in the skin everywhere, therefore, they are present in the lips. People with a light complexion naturally have less melanin in their skin. This makes the visible blood vessels visible through the lips and they appear pinkish or reddish in color. People who have darker skin show smaller blood vessels because the high melanin content affects the color of the lips, making it darker naturally.

  1. Reduce or completely eliminate smoking. Chewing tobacco (which I trust you ladies don’t) is also going to tarnish this rush.

  3. Always use lip balms with SPF content when you are going to protect them from tanning. Many lipsticks also come with SPF, which is great for you when you need to go out.

  1. Apply beetroot juice on the lips at night before bedtime, and the next day you will notice a reddish-pink spot. This should go on for several days.
  2. Crush the rose petals, mix with fresh cream and use. It makes your lips naturally soft and pink. In addition, you can dip a cotton ball in pink water and smooth it on the lips. 
  3. Use menthol-based lip balm on the lips and leave it on for 5 minutes. With wet soft bristles, a toothbrush exfoliates lips. Do not graze the skin too much, as the lips are very delicate.
  4. Break the capsule of vitamin E and apply on the lips before bedtime. You can mix vitamin E oil in some petroleum jelly to make your own lip balm.
  5. If you have pale, colorless lips, ask your doctor about iron supplements. Being even slightly anemic can lead to the depletion of color from your lips. Taking iron supplements will add a natural flush to your face, and your lips will appear more pink. 
  6. Apply fresh juice from mint leaves or juice from coriander leaves on the lips to make them pink and smooth. 
  7. Mix lemon juice and glycerin and apply on lips before sleeping at night. Leaving it overnight, you can activate the brightening properties of lemon, and glycerin acts as an excellent moisturizer. This is especially useful for those who want to remove tan from their lips.
  8. Cut raw coconut and drink some milk. Apply on lips.
  9. Eat plenty of raw cucumber and carrots to smooth out uneven lip color.
  10. Mix a pinch of turmeric in 1 tsp. cold milk cream. Lip massage with this paste daily for 5 minutes. This results in elastic pink lips. 
  11. Mix lemon juice with a little honey and apply at bedtime. Lemon relieves tanning and honey moisturizes and nourishes the lips, restoring natural pinkness.
  12. Mix 1 tsp. almond oil with lemon juice and rub on the lips every day. Leave it dry and wash with cold water. 
  13. Sprinkle icing sugar on a lemon wedge and gently rub your lips. This is a good way to naturally exfoliate and bleach your lips, making them smoother and redder. 
  14. Apply a small amount of clarified oil (desi ghee) to your lips so that their color naturally turns red and provides moisture. 
  15. Soak four almonds in 1/2 cup of milk overnight and grind to a beautiful smooth paste the next morning. Apply the paste on your lips daily to help them regain their natural pink color after a few months. 
  16. Mix gram flour, 1 tsp. honey, 1 teaspoon of yogurt and a few drops of lemon juice and apply regularly to the lips to make them pinker.
